Bully
Shelby Breen's most recent poem to appear here was Breathing (July 2009).
Bully
By Shelby Breen
Betrayed, alone
not knowing
where to go
Fearful, unwanted
afraid to make the slightest movement
to awaken the vultures
Gone, forever
too late to change what you caused
too late to take back my pain

Nicely said, some things can't be undone.

So much depth, so much said, so few words. I felt this poignant poem.

I did, too.
Sometimes it still happens in my head.
Sad.

in only a few words, you bring an experience to the point that only few even dare talk about honestly. amazing, how you expose without any trace of blame or self-pity. a powerful poem, i hope it travels far.

How poignant. This says it all, and the tragedy is that it still happens today.
