Springtime Bliss

Laura Zucca-Scott's most recent poem to appear here was Gliding Princess, published as part of Contributor Series 10: Silken Rags in December 2011.

Springtime Bliss
By Laura Zucca-Scott

From my car window
I see the slender grass
Bowing down
To a merciless wind

A sweet December day
Smiles running away
Faster than a red Mustang

A hope you stay strong
And survive
The shivery winter kiss

I hope I see you again
Still standing tall
Bold and fragile
In springtime bliss
