Dress Well

To live in hell
Wearing bigger clothing than you used to
Unhappy with ANY occasion
To limp in an odd fashion
Feeling underdressed at all times
But to embrace an old saying
"Time heals all wounds."
And dress normally again
And to feel the smile is straight
Ah, the trusted smile, crooked for 3 years, is now back
To be invited to a bookstore
And to happily accept
In a shining moment, to dress well—because you ARE well!
Tweed jacket on
With a smile and a wink
To hand a book to the owner
And see yourself go on a shelf
In awe, and well dressed—to stand without falling
And return to the world
