Fiddlehead

Katherine Glatter lives in Western Massachusetts with her husband and 2 daughters. She moved from Northeast Ohio where she ran a successful massage therapy practice for many years. She came to Massachusetts to study at The Alexander Technique School of New England. Her interests include hiking, biking, yoga, singing Sacred Harp, and raising her family. She began her blog in January 2011 and is enjoying writing more poetry than she has in years.

Fiddlehead
By Katherine Glatter

I am
curled inward
one point

dark green leaves and
dense roots

light the way

parts of me are so deeply planted
that even I can't uproot them

embryonic paisley

unfurling
uncurling

I am born again
