Changing Skies

Alan S Kleiman's poetry has appeared in The Criterion, Monique's Passions, and Lyrical Lip Service. He lives in New York City and when not working as an attorney practicing in the real estate and secured lending fields he spends as much time on bicycles and sailboats as he can.

Changing Skies
By Alan S Kleiman

I like
spitting out
bruised chewed and swallowed sky

wonder what's behind
that spit
that eye

the rabbit hair
and samovar

eclectic wanderings
across boundaries
push identities
to new shades

contact lenses give way
to glasses
and roses
give way to sky views

perhaps where even bats
get the boot
