Contributor Series 9: If Men Had Ears, Furiously listening

Contributor Series 9: If Men Had Ears
Furiously listening
By Laura Zucca-Scott

Furiously listening to her own tune
She finds rhymes
Unspoken
Forgotten

Music made sense
Once upon a time
Before the madness began

Yet, she still listens
Undefeated
Triumphant
While tears underscore
The silence

Laura Zucca-Scott's most recent poem to appear here was Watermelon at the Beach, published in March 2011 as part of Contributor Series 8: Feast and Famine.
