Requiem

Requiem

Why should I believe there is a light
At the end of every bumpy road?
Can I really make a U-turn at the cliff and find myself in 
Utopia?
Lord have mercy on me
Jesus, Lamb of God
Take away all my sin
Make me pure like in my childhood
Save me from myself
Revive me
I feel like I'm writing my own requiem
Am I just another dead writer
In the eyes of future generations?
Lacrymosa dies illa
Qua resurget ex favilla
Who cares about my cries to
God?
And Latin hymns
in a journal
in a drawer
in a desk
in a chamber
in a haunted mansion where
a million people died and
I'm on line.
Im just another number
Nothing more
Alas, I've gone
It's time to fly
I opened the window in the middle of the night
And spread my wings
But like the geese flying south for winter,
I will soon return
When the weather is warmer.
