Diana (Moon)

Born in England, Clinton Van Inman now lives in Sun City Center, FL with his wife. He is 65 years old and teaches high school in Tampa Bay. He is a graduate of San Diego State University. Clinton is writing a book of poetry called The Last Beat because, in his words, "I believe that I am the last Beatnik standing as I still fight for the cause." In addition to poetry, Clinton also writes plays. He also paints and plays the trumpet.

Diana (Moon)
By Clinton Van Inman

Drag your white skull beyond blind seas
That tumble dazed to your mono-eyed magic.
Go tell Neptune when the night is through.
Charm him, too, with your waxing and waning.
But you can't catch me with those veiled half-smiles.
Your borrowed brilliance exposes you.
I know your darker side.
Go charm some other star-struck rhapsodist.
