First-Ever vox poetica Poetry Contest! Today's Words 6th Runner-up:
Note to Self
By Ivan Jenson
last night I woke up
enlightened in the darkness
by a single sentence
which revealed the essential mystery
of it all
I vowed to tell the world tomorrow
but when I woke up in the morning
I realized

I should have written it down
Well said, Ivan, well said!
Ivan Jenson's most recent poem to appear at vox poetica was Scatter-brain.
Ivan, we can all associate with this one. Clever.
