Youth at Its Finest
By Maxwell Baumbach

There are certain moments
that you wish to dream into fruition.
When that moment becomes real,
you cannot release it from your grip.

A bonfire blazing,
gasoline lingering in the air.

Warmth radiating against my skin,
her body next to mine.

My arm goes around her,
her head rests on my shoulder.

Looking deep into her eyes,
my heart is no longer my possession.

This,
my friends,
is youth at its finest,
and it will not get better than this.
