A Breeze on Farmer's Curfew

John Sherer's most recent appearance here was Average, part of Contributor Series 5: Dramatis Personae. He writes about a variety of subjects and today's poem feels a little more cryptic than some of his others. It evokes summer, late summer in fact, and it describes communing with nature, and it's a lovely addition to John's body of work. 

A Breeze on Farmer's Curfew

I find flowing fields
Cast in setting sun
Whisper, tall grass
Pass by my side
Cow bells to beckon
Summon and reckon
Whisper, the grass
Has swept me by
