Your face woke me again
It dissolved with the haze of the morning
My eyes aching to see you beside me
but my heart turned heavy at the truth
I am a lost child in the wilderness
Grasping for sense when there is none
Counting down the hours
When it will all finally pass me by
Will you sail your way home to me
On the ocean of tears that I cried
And find me waiting on this lonely shore
Of my endless love for you
You were my religion
And I followed you so blindly
Trusting in your every word
And now I have lost all my faith
Sometime love doesn't conquer all. Nice poem.

So much of my own experience there. Thanks, Manny, for corraling these words together so that they didn't go out to pasture and leave us with the indefined blah of life. Oh, and the 15 Minutes of Poetry interview was helpful for me to hear your voice in here.
