Sojourn
By Gianluca D'Elia

I am sojourn
In this society
This world is not
Where I was meant to be
This 6-foot-tall body
Is just temporary

I am free spirited
And I'm just tired of narrow
minded people
I like to do stupid things sometimes
Because I can INSPIRE
by making someone laugh today
In this depressed world

And today is a perfect day to
Fly away
The sun and the sky
Are my brother and sister
And tonight is the night
That I'll leave this place behind
My wings aren't strong yet
But I can fly

All I feel is strange
In a perfect world,
I am a nightingale
In a golden cage
Who longs to be set FREE

I'm SOJOURN in this society
I know nothing lasts forever
So I'll leave this world eventually
I'm tired of them labeling me
And telling me who I am
Just let me be myself
