Wonder
By Karen Schindler
By Karen Schindler
I am a spring green shoot
pushing through the soil
warmed by the sun
nourished by the earth
entranced by the moon
seduced by bees and butterflies
I am kitten noses, puppy toes,
baby's first steps
I am joy personified
and each passing moment
renews my breathlessness
Karen Schindler's poetry has appeared at vox poetica in 2009 and 2010. Her most recent appearance here was with her poem Erosion in April 2010.

I love the theme of wonder!

You are a breathe of spring. Mother Nature. Great poem.

Annmarie really got me started on an interesting path when she asked us to write something on the theme of identity. I'm still writing poems about it.
Thank you Bobbie and Jeanette for your lovely thoughts. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment.
