Do Wa Ditty (A Love Song)

We're the hidden driveway
mentioned by the hidden driveway sign
black and purple petunias
like children used to be
before the Internet
when ships were named for virtues
and streets for North American trees
your heart was a church van
that stopped at railroad crossings
mine was a fallacious theory
and during the night
I looked up like the unclaimed body
in the movies through super thin eyelids
and saw you secretly shining
and said wait to someone wait
which one is the morning star
